After 40 years, the troupe of the most famous palace in Albania, “Palace 176”, reunited on Top Channel’s screen in ‘Live with Luizin’.
Eva Aliko, Ilir Bezhani, Adelina Balashi and Rajmonda Bulku shared their memories of 40 years ago when they brought ‘Pallatin 176’ to the Albanian theater stage.
The latter also revealed the reason why she was not part of the filming even though she played the role of ‘Irena’ in the original cast.
Excerpts from the conversation:
Rajmonda Bulku: I have never left, because we have done 500-600 performances, but the theater troupes have always had understudy because the actors also covered the films of the film studio, so in order not to spoil the days of the theater performance, to continue, the performances were permanent, it is not like today, 15 performances and you disappear, we were there as long as it was successful. There was a performance in the theater every day of the week, you waited for a ticket and it was never empty.
Luiz: Why didn’t you participate when it was filmed as a show?
Rajmonda Bulku: When it was filmed, apparently, I don’t have anything to say now because it’s a bit of a slip of the tongue.
Eva Aliko: The actors were exchanged, there were two groups, and it happened that one group was shooting a film, Monda was the first group.
Luiz: So was it a coincidence that Mondan wasn’t on the set of ‘Palace 176’?
Rajmonda Bulku: The first group and they were recording, this was the favor that the first group had and I was right there in the recording, I avoided maybe for some film shooting, I don’t know now because it’s been many years. But what is important and what I didn’t weigh much was that, I asked the directors, that I could make this replacement and they were very gentle, while the one who later apologized and regretted what I did, was only Ilir, because he was the only one who told me: “I’m sorry, we played together and we did the role together and the comfort is together” and in fact that’s how it is and you get used to it. You have no right to leave me right when we’re going to shoot and that the directors hadn’t told me this, that Ilir told me.
Ilir Bezhani: There are laws like this, that we are partners together and you can’t leave without asking me. The other one came, no problem. But the problem is that Monda lost a role, which she regretted. She cried for a moment
Rajmonda Bulku: Because the second directors shouldn’t have accepted it in the first place, I lost a very good memory, not only with Ilir, but with everyone.
