The court takes Rezart Veleshnjan as defendant! How Ylli Troplini fell “prey” to the actor’s deceptions, 3 friends warned him not to trust him, WITNESSES shed light on the incident

The story of Albanian comedian Rezart Veleshnja, who has been named as a defendant after being accused of defrauding citizen Ylli Troplini, taking and then selling the latter’s car, has returned to the spotlight.

New details obtained from the investigative file of the case have revealed that the actor Veleshnja requested Troplini’s car, arguing that his mother is sick with cancer and he had no means to take her to the hospital to perform the necessary medical checks, reports journalist Elton Qyno.

However, in a short period of time, according to the investigations carried out, it turns out that Veleshnja sold the “Mitbusishi” vehicle with license plates AA239MM, for a cost of around 2 million old lekë.

Despite claims that he is innocent and has no connection to this event, Veleshnja has been named a defendant by the court and a court hearing will be held against him on June 30, 2026.

Referring to the investigative file, it is learned that Troplini stated that in July 2024 he gave the car to Veleshnjas, whom he met through a friend of his, Erzen Beshiri.

Although the latter warned him not to trust the actor too much, Troplini, moved by Veleshnja’s situation, who claimed to have a mother with cancer, chose to give him the car, for the latter’s benefit.

“…for this reason I also gave him the vehicle…” claimed Ylli Troplini.

Meanwhile, it is learned that at the moment when Troplini handed over his car to Veleshnja, his two friends, Ani Shyti and Gëzim Leka, were also present.

In the testimony given regarding the event, as a person in the know, Ani Shyti stated that it all happened one summer day, on the coast where they were drinking coffee in a bar, the name of which she does not remember.

The person who introduced Veleshnjan to Troplini, who stayed in the same historical line as Ani Shyti, also gave his testimony.

“After they met several times, Rezarti asked Ylli for his car to use for some time after. He told Rezarti that his mother was seriously ill. I don’t know what Rezarti did with the car because he didn’t meet her. He contacted Rezarti and told him to take the car to Ylli because he would give him the amount of 2 million old lek, but Rezarti neither answered his phone nor went to get the money,” Beshiri said.

It was the testimony of citizen Gëzim Leka that most highlighted Veleshnja’s “fraud.” In his testimony as an informed person, Leka revealed that Rezarti told him that he had sold the car but did not say where.

Despite the testimonies of 3 people and the investigations spanning a long period of time to uncover the “mystery of the disappearance” of Ylli Troplini’s car, Veleshnja has denied the allegations, claiming that he took the car in exchange for some money that Troplini owed him for advertisements made by the actor.

And in his testimony before the court, he admitted that he sold the car for 2 million lek to a citizen named Shpend.

However, the actor has denied the accusations against him, arguing that Troplini owed him money for some advertisements made thanks to the collaboration for the marketing of “Star Energy”, so he took the car against the payment that should have been made.

Meanwhile, the Court recently learned that it has indicted Veleshnjan in connection with this incident.
