A young man is injured in Lushnja, who is the suspect? Police find thousands of counterfeit euros and dollars in his apartment
A 26-year-old man was stabbed in Lushnja and police say they arrested the suspected perpetrator within a few hours.
The injured man has been identified as Erbion Çerraga, 26, who presented himself for medical attention at the hospital after being struck with a cutting instrument. According to police sources, he is under the care of doctors and out of danger to his life.
Meanwhile, Edison Hoxha, 19 years old, a resident of the village of Stan Karbunarë, Lushnja, has been arrested as the suspected perpetrator of the incident, reports noa.al.
According to preliminary investigations, the conflict between the two young men occurred for weak motives and during the clash, the 19-year-old is suspected of stabbing Erbion Çerraga.
After receiving the notification from the hospital, the Lushnja Police Commissariat immediately organized investigative actions to clarify the incident, identify and capture the perpetrator. Within a few hours, the officers managed to locate and arrest the young man.
During the operation, the police searched Edison Hoxha’s apartment, where they discovered and seized a significant amount of money suspected of being counterfeit. Specifically, 48,160 euros and 7,200 dollars were found, which were suspected of being possessed with the intention of being put into circulation on the market.
The money has been seized as material evidence, while expert examinations are being conducted to verify its authenticity.
Following procedural actions, specialists from the Section for the Investigation of Crimes against the Person at the Fier Police Department officially arrested Edison Hoxha for the criminal offenses of “Intentional Serious Injury” and “Counterfeiting of Coins”.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier, which will continue the investigations to fully uncover the incident and the origin of the considerable amount of suspected counterfeit money.
