The world has made its decision! Altin Goxhaj’s strong statement: “In June, Rama will either surrender,

A strong statement by lawyer and activist Altin Goxhaj has reignited the political debate in the country, at a time when Albania is experiencing one of the most tense periods in recent months, between civic protests, clashes over strategic projects, and recent developments regarding Sali Berisha and the United States’ stance.

Goxhaj has warned that the month of June could be decisive for the political fate of Prime Minister Edi Rama, using harsh political language.

“In June, Rama will either surrender or be eliminated,” declared Goxhaj, linking this to what he calls a huge international and geopolitical cost created by the Albanian government.

According to him, recent developments are no longer just an internal Albanian issue, but have taken on regional and international dimensions. Goxhaj claims that Rama has created a crisis that involves important international actors, including the United States, Israel, NATO, the region, Turkey, Greece, Iran and other factors.

“It is creating an international geopolitical cost that includes America, Israel, Albania, NATO, the region, Turkey, Greece, Iran and many others. Rama has fallen into the trap he set himself,” he said.

Goxhaj’s statement comes in a tense political climate, where the protests of recent days have gone beyond simple opposition to the Zvërnec project and have turned into a broader wave of dissatisfaction with the government. Protesters have articulated demands for transparency, the protection of public assets, an end to the capture of territory by oligarchic interests and, increasingly, the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

In this context, Goxhaj presents the current crisis as a moment of clash between citizens and an entire political and economic system, not just as a battle against an individual.

“He made a hole to sink Albania, Albanians and our people. This fire will burn Rama and Albania will be saved,” he declared.

He further emphasizes that the wave of dissatisfaction is not directed only at the prime minister, but also at what he calls the political establishment, financial and economic oligarchy, which according to him have served as instruments for the economic colonization of the country.

“This fire is not just for Edi Rama. It is for the entire political establishment, the financial and economic oligarchy that has become an instrument of the colonization of Albania,” said Goxhaj.

His statement comes at a time when political developments have accelerated significantly. On the one hand, the protests over Zvërnec and strategic projects have received international attention, while on the other hand, developments regarding Sali Berisha’s status in relation to the US have opened a new debate on the reformatting of the opposition and the political balance in the country.

In this situation, critical voices against the government see the current moment as a turning point. They claim that citizen pressure, international costs, and a crisis of confidence in the political class could force Rama to step down or accept a transitional political solution.

However, so far there has been no official confirmation of any political agreement, resignation or publicly announced institutional scenario. Goxhaj’s statement remains a strong political stance and a public warning, at a time when tensions in the country have increased and where the protest seems to be taking on an increasingly national political character.

What is clear is that the debate on Zvërnec, strategic projects, relations with international partners and the role of the opposition has entered a new phase. June, according to Goxhaj, could be the month when this crisis will either produce a political solution or further deepen the clash between citizens and the government.

In any case, his statement shows that the political tension in Albania is not easing. On the contrary, it is turning into a broader debate about the end of a governance model, the role of the oligarchy, and the political future of the country.
