After the last few days, which have put her in the spotlight of public opinion and have prompted numerous reactions in the media and social networks, journalist and moderator Sidorela Gjoni has decided to react publicly for the first time. Through a long message published on social networks, she has shared her thoughts on the situation created after the interview with Prime Minister Edi Rama, thanking all those who have stood by her during this period.
In her message, the moderator of the show “Albania Live” states that she has carefully read every reaction she has received from citizens, including private messages, comments, posts, videos, phone calls and other forms of support. She emphasizes that she has felt touched by the appreciation and kindness of the public, considering this as an important support at a time when her name has been widely mentioned in the public space.
“I have read every message from you and I feel you close in every word, post, video, comment, banner, meme or phone call. I am grateful for your appreciation and love, from each and every one of you,” she wrote in her reaction.
However, Sidorela Gjoni has chosen to show modesty and prudence, underlining that she does not consider herself the protagonist of this situation. She recalls that journalism is the profession she has practiced for more than ten years and that her work has not changed despite the increased attention it has received recently.
According to her, her dedication to the profession has always been the same, from the period when she worked as a sports journalist to her current role as a journalist and current affairs moderator. For this reason, she states that there is no room for idealization or mythologizing of her figure, as she has simply fulfilled her professional duty and responsibility.
In her response, the journalist also praised the citizens who have chosen to express their opinions and positions in a peaceful and civil manner. She says that she is closely following the energy, positive spirit and messages that are being conveyed by people during this period, hoping that everything will contribute to the good of the country.
“I follow and appreciate the spirit, energy, calmness, and messages that you are conveying with determination every day as worthy citizens. I wish with all my heart that in the end, the best will happen for our country,” she says.
At the end of the message, Sidorela Gjoni announces that she does not want to continue public debates about this issue and that this will be her last reaction regarding the situation. She emphasizes that she does not seek personal attention or protagonism on social networks, as her focus remains on work and communication with the public through the television screen.
The moderator has also invited citizens to follow her on the show “Albania Live”, which is broadcast every day from Monday to Friday on Top Channel. She underlines that this is where she wants to be judged for her professional work, adding that she carries out the show with great dedication and passion.
“I’m on ‘Albania Live’ every day, from Monday to Friday, on Top Channel, at 12:45. I DO want you to follow me there, because, unlike Instagram, I do the show with great pleasure,” her message concludes.
