Protests, the company that will build in Sazan reacts: World-class destination, but the decision belongs to the Albanians!

Investors who will build on Sazan Island say that the future of the project will depend on the decision-making of Albania and its citizens.

As Albanians have been protesting for 16 days in Tirana, other cities and beyond the borders, the company that will develop the tourist project on the island of Sazan has reacted publicly for the first time. This reaction comes at a time when the investment has become the subject of controversy and opposition from citizen groups and activists.

Through a post published by the “Sazan Coast” page on the X platform, the director of Sazan Real Estate Development LLC, Asher Abehsera, stated that for four years, work has been underway to build a tourist destination of international standards on the Albanian coast.

According to him, the project is built on long-term planning, respect for the environment and the aim of creating sustainable economic opportunities for the country.

“For four years we have been working to create a world-class destination on the Albanian coast, a project based on careful planning, environmental care and long-term economic opportunities ,” he says.

Abehsera emphasizes that the future of Sazan will ultimately be determined by Albania and the Albanians.

“For four years we have been working to create a world-class destination on the Albanian coast – a project based on careful planning, environmental awareness and long-term economic opportunities.

Our goal is simple: to appreciate Albania’s natural beauty, create jobs and build something that future generations can be proud of. Its future will ultimately be determined by Albania and the Albanians. Asher Abehsera, chairman of Sazan Real Estate Development LLC,” the statement said.

The protests against the government have put not only Zvërnec, but also Sazan at the center of public debate. Although foreign media are reporting that the protests are against the investments of Ivanka Trump and her husband Kushner in Sazan and Zvërnec, in fact the rallies have taken a different direction. They are no longer mentioning these investments.

The reaction comes at a time when the project on Sazan Island continues to be at the center of public discussions, while its opponents have raised concerns about the potential impact on the environment and the natural resources of the area.

Meanwhile, Albanian authorities have previously stated that the investment will be subject to legal procedures and required environmental standards, while the debate on the future of the project remains open.
