New details have been revealed by an action by the Police Supervision Agency, conducted in the Saranda and Ksamil areas, regarding police connections to cases of unauthorized construction.
It is reported that after the two officers, the chief of the Saranda Police Station, Gëzim Bashllari, was also arrested.
A crime officer and an area specialist in Saranda have also been arrested for abuse of office.
According to sources, the focus of the investigations are officers suspected of being involved in or favoring illegal construction in these coastal areas.
The AMP’s move comes after two cases were identified in the area in recent days.
In one case, the Prosecution seized the floor of a hotel built without a permit, while in another case, on a beach in Ksamil, 8 workers were arrested for carrying out illegal work.
