Another strong blow from Tirana Police: 7 people arrested, including foreign citizens (27 others under investigation)

Tirana Police have discovered a call center in Tirana, where computer fraud activities were suspected. As a result of this operation, 7 people have been arrested, while 27 others are under investigation.

According to the police, among the arrested persons are also citizens from Paraguay and Angola. Also, among the 27 persons prosecuted, 3 are foreign citizens from Brazil and France.

The following were arrested: ZA, 36 years old, EN, 31 years old, A. Sh., 28 years old and BK, 30 years old (Albanian citizens), citizen LRM, 41 years old, Paraguayan, as well as citizens JIC, 28 years old and SLS, 28 years old, Angolans, all residents of Tirana.

Preliminary investigations suspect that these citizens are involved in committing illegal activities related to the criminal offenses of “Computer Fraud”, “Illegal Employment” and “Hiding Income”.

Tirana/The operation codenamed “End Point” is being finalized, following intensive work to crack down on criminal activities in the fields of cybercrime and economic crime.

The operation, by the Directorate for the Investigation of Cybercrime and the Directorate for the Investigation of Economic Crime at the General Directorate of the State Police, in cooperation with the Tirana Local Police Directorate and under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Tirana.

7 citizens (Albanian, Paraguayan and Angolan) are arrested and 27 are criminally prosecuted (among them, 3 foreigners).

A quantity of euros suspected of being derived from this activity, 70 computer units and 49 mobile phones were seized.

The Directorate for the Investigation of Cybercrime and the Directorate for the Investigation of Economic Crime at the General Directorate of the State Police, in cooperation with the Tirana Local Police Directorate and under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Tirana, as a result of intensive work to ascertain cases of adaptation of various environments, with computer equipment and other devices, for the commission of computer fraud, through telephone calls (call center), finalized the operation codenamed “End Point”.

In accordance with decision no. 4271, dated 15.06.2026, of the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Tirana, searches were carried out in several suspected premises adapted for the commission of this criminal activity.

As a result of investigative and procedural actions, citizens ZA, 36 years old, EN, 31 years old, A. Sh., 28 years old and BK, 30 years old (Albanian citizens), citizen LRM, 41 years old, Paraguayan, as well as citizens JIC, 28 years old and SLS, 28 years old, Angolan, all residents of Tirana, were arrested in flagrante delicto.

Also, the procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office, where proceedings were initiated in the absence of 27 citizens (3 of them from Brazil and France), all residents of Tirana.

Preliminary investigations suspect that these citizens are involved in committing illegal activities related to the criminal offenses of “Computer Fraud”, “Illegal Employment” and “Hiding Income”.

Investigations continue, in cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Tirana, to fully document this criminal activity, to identify other citizens involved and to determine the respective legal responsibilities.
