An undeclared amount of 19 thousand euros was seized at the Port of Durres during controls carried out by Durres Customs in cooperation with the Border Police.
According to the official announcement, the money was discovered on Tuesday evening at the exit of the territory of the Republic of Albania, before the boarding of passengers on the Durrës-Bari line.
Authorities report that the amount of 19 thousand euros was not declared according to legal procedures, so it was seized by customs services.
The case has been referred to the competent authorities for further action, while controls at the Port of Durres continue with intensity as part of measures to prevent and crack down on customs violations.
According to Durres Customs, field operations will continue without interruption with the aim of guaranteeing the implementation of customs legislation and combating any abusive attempts at border points.
