MP Marjana Koçeku, otherwise known as “Neomalyserja”, joined the civic protest in front of the Prime Minister’s Office this Saturday, a few days after her recent departure from the Socialist Party parliamentary group.
Koçek’s presence on the 21st day of the protest was noted among protesters demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the creation of a caretaker government that would lead the country towards new elections.
Surrounded by journalists, the MP refused to provide details on the reasons for her participation in the rally or comment on recent political developments.
“I have my mind on the protest. Let’s leave the attention on the protest. I will speak at a later time,” Koçek said briefly.
The protest in front of the Prime Minister’s Office has entered its 21st day and this weekend has been characterized by the increased participation of citizens and Albanians from the diaspora, who have taken on an important role in organizing and developing the rally.
