The State Police has published footage of the escort of 34-year-old Elvis Koçi alias Çaushllari, known as “Vis Korçari”, while also providing details on the operation to capture him in Ksamil.
According to the official announcement, the operation codenamed “Fast” was finalized by the Saranda Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Directorate of the Special Operational Force at the State Police, after intensive investigative and operational work to locate the wanted persons.
Police say the 34-year-old was located in the center of Ksamil, in an “Audi” type vehicle, where he was subsequently arrested. During the intervention, he is suspected of attempting to flee, but was neutralized and arrested by police forces.
According to the authorities, citizen EK (Ç.), 34 years old, resident of Elbasan, is a person with high social risk and suspected of being part of a criminal group in the city of Elbasan.
The police explain that he was declared wanted after the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime upheld the decision of the Special Court of First Instance, which sentenced him to 4 years in prison for the criminal offenses of “Structured criminal group” and “Providing conditions and material means to commit murder.”
According to official data, he has 2 years, 9 months and 9 days left to serve in prison.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
