The Socialist Mayor of Lezha, Pjerin Ndreu, has reacted after the post made on Saturday evening by Deputy Minister Edona Bilali, who “targeted” former socialist Paulin Luli after his participation in the civic protest against the government.
In a status on social networks, the deputy minister wrote: “Oh Paulin, you lie to Tirana with the fable of the honest worker in Germany because our Puka and Shkodra know what you are!”
This reaction has subsequently brought backlash from within the socialist camp itself. Pjerin Ndreu, although he does not support Luli’s participation in the protests, has opposed the way he was labeled in relation to his period of emigration to Germany.

In his reaction, Ndreu states: “Beyond the fact that I find no reason for a friend of mine to participate or incite protests, I do not think he should be labeled as having worked dishonestly in emigration! This is not good and does not serve anyone! There is no negative sign in what he has done in emigration, on the contrary! I do not like what he is doing these days, but I admire him for the work he has built with sweat in Germany!”, writes Ndreu.
These “clashes” came just a few hours after Paulin Luli participated in the protest organized the day before in Tirana.

Luli was part of the Socialist Party and ran for MP in the Shkodra district in the 2017 parliamentary elections. He also held the position of director of the State Reserves and on Saturday evening he decided to join the protesters on the Boulevard.
