Rama: “Because there is also a call for a new agreement for a ‘New Albania,’ and I have seen that there are also lost souls here within our political family who want a New Albania—I can’t wait for them to bring us the written draft. We are ready for a new agreement for a new Albania.”
But I fear that the draft will never come; it’s just like all those flamingo silhouettes that Fatos Lubonja held tightly. We will be criticized, we will be attacked, but we have an obligation not to choose the easy way out, not to choose to be popular when we should be responsible.
For a long time, I have not felt like I was chosen to be liked. That desire has left me. We are not here to be liked, but to be useful. Today, Albania is in our hands; it is not a hashtag (#), a flamingo that drags itself around just to look pretty. It is at war with itself, and the EU is our Ithaca.
Let the sirens sing—that is their job. We have a duty to bring Albania to that shore at all costs. On this path, many others will emerge from the sides, from the front. We have a lot of evidence; thanks to the algorithm, digital mercenaries are coming even from places you would not think you were their target. We have nothing to do with any of them, in the sense of intimidation or the development of a complex. This is the most difficult path; it is my path, ours, the path of the Socialist Party (SP).
