Shkodra MP Marjana Koçeku has joined the diaspora protest today. Her participation comes a few days after Koçeku announced her departure from the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group and declared that she will exercise her mandate as an independent MP.
In one of her latest reactions, the MP challenged Prime Minister Edi Rama and the parliamentary majority to dissolve the Assembly and go to early elections.
Meanwhile, in another statement, Koçek spoke about threats against her family, sending a direct message to people who, according to her, may attempt to intimidate her.
Her presence at the rally is seen as support for the protesters, at a time when they have articulated demands against the government. Koçeku was elected MP in the 2025 parliamentary elections, as part of the SP list in the Shkodra District.
