Featured on “Grida Duma Podcast” was the renowned detective, Shkënda Lili, who during the interview revealed the cases of betrayal she has investigated.
Lili told a case of a 50-year-old man who suspected his wife was cheating on him because, according to him, she spent a lot of time on the toilet and washed herself frequently.
Shkënda said that her staff’s investigation did not result in her cheating on him, but her husband had told her that he had placed a camera in her bathroom and that she took great care of herself.
Excerpt from the interview:
Shkënda Lili: I will tell you a case of a 50-year-old gentleman who investigated his wife. And that man was so mentally ill that he left me speechless. His wife, who was the same age as him, lived in one of the villages of Tirana.
Grida Duma: In the village again?
Shkënda Lili: In the districts of Tirana. The woman worked in a company and the reason why she came is that the woman washed herself often, there is something to it. Some idiotic things that I laughed at from time to time. I asked him what his suspicion was, what he had seen in his wife, because when I looked at her photo and investigated, I also had a suspicion about where this could be cheating. Because we now understand who cheats and who doesn’t, from day one. We know the outcome.
Grida Duma: More or less, 90 percent of you have guessed whether he is a traitor or not

Shkënda Lili: From the photo that the client showed me, I asked him questions to understand. To suspect a wife who stays at home all day or works in a company that sews there all the time, lonely and tired of work, of life, seems to me…
Grida Duma: Because she bathes often…
Shkënda Lili: When I teased him with questions, because I said that I understood that he had no chance, but he said ‘he started bathing often, to keep himself’. He was mentally ill, at least that’s what I concluded in the end. In the middle of the investigation, he told me that he wanted to meet me and I said ‘yes, of course, but we haven’t seen anything so far, very regular’. But he says that ‘she will meet in a few days’. These are banal things to show him, where a person reaches, zero psychology, sick jealousy. He says that ‘my wife is preparing for tomorrow because she spent many hours choosing clothes, she spent a lot in the bathroom, I’m sure she’s preparing for tomorrow’. And in the end he came out completely dissatisfied with the investigation and told me ‘you didn’t do anything, but I put cameras in the bathroom, everywhere, you didn’t catch her’.
Grida Duma: The cameras showed that she is taking care of herself
Shkënda Lili: Wearing a camera in the toilet, do you understand what it means? These cases are for…
Grida Duma: It’s about the police because she risks her life to live with such a man.
Shkënda Lili: They are for the police, but also for hospitalization. He insisted on watching the video. He was mentally ill, I offered him help, I told him to take him to a psychiatrist friend of mine. He told me that he is not crazy and that he understands things in the air. He insisted on watching the video again and I told him ‘I don’t want to watch your wife bathing, are you okay’.
Grida Duma: Dissatisfaction that she turned out to be honest
Shkënda Lili: He definitely wanted to, he told me that you didn’t do your job well. He insisted on watching the video, but what do I care what you do inside the house, whether you bathe or not. Because there are times when it’s even funny.
Grida Duma: They are dangerous. I mean, psychology shows that such cases escalate. They can even lead to murder. So she is a total victim at that moment, she is placed under the pressure of his need for betrayal and his need to prove himself because he is insecure at that level.
Shkënda Lili: There are cases that require a lot of caution, at least for me. In my early days, I didn’t understand the typology of people. I didn’t expect people to be so extreme, I wasn’t used to life, that people could be so extreme.
