Former SP MP Marjana Koçeku has called for the protection of the Currajve River in Nikaj-Mërtur from concreting due to the construction of dams.
In a Facebook post, ‘Neomalsërja’ appeals to environmental organizations, residents and green activists to organize to protect this natural asset before it is too late.

Today I learned that the Currajve River in Nikaj-Mërtur is being affected by concreting and the construction of several dams.
This should not be allowed. The residents of the area must protect it before it is too late. Any interference with that wild river is unjustifiable.
I call on environmental organizations, residents, and green activists to organize and pay attention to a natural asset such as the Curraj River in Nikaj-Mërtur.
There has never been a better time to act!
