The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) has carried out checks on several employees of the Vlora Mortgage, as part of an investigation related to the land issue in Zvërnec.
Sources indicate that the focus of the investigation is four officials: Rembrand Dine, Vanessa Bylo, Ergyst Skenderi and Reinard Metaj.
The checks were conducted as part of SPAK’s investigative actions, and it is suspected that they are related to the administration and registration procedures of properties in the Zvërnec area.
For some time now, SPAK has launched investigations into the manner in which lands in the Zvërnec protected area were acquired by a suspicious network of individuals and companies, as well as into the procedures for implementing the project for the construction of tourist resorts, promoted as an investment linked to the US president’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
So far, SPAK has not issued an official announcement regarding this operation and no other details have been made public about the criminal offenses for which investigations are being conducted.
