A scandalous event was recently reported in Kurbin, after a video was published on social media claiming that authorities shot the sow of citizen Drane Gjoka with 10 bullets.
The video shared online shows a police officer next to the dead animal, while the footage and accompanying descriptions claim that it was the Kurbin Municipal Police who, in collaboration with the State Police, shot it with 10 bullets.
According to posts circulating online, serious accusations are being made regarding the manner of intervention and handling of the case, but it is worth noting that these claims have not been confirmed by any official source.
In the video below, the Municipal Police officer is seen going to the scene of the incident where the dead animal is located, while a voice is also heard in the video, which is claimed to be that of citizen Drane Gjoka.
“Look, is it a dog?” she is heard saying, based on the responses that the State Police allegedly gave this citizen when she went to report the incident.
“The Kurbin Municipality Police, in cooperation with the State Police, silently took and killed Drane Gjoka’s sow with 10 bullets, leaving 13 little piglets alone without their mother. When the woman filed a complaint with the police, they told her that she was a “dog”, it is written in the video published on social networks.
Drane Gjoka is not an unknown name to the media, but also to the judiciary. On April 15, 2026, she attempted to force her way into the SPAK premises, even climbing over the bars on purpose because she wanted to meet with special prosecutors regarding a property conflict she has had over the years.
According to her previous public statements, she has raised concerns about property issues and court decisions that she says have not been fully implemented. These claims remain part of a conflict that she says she has been pursuing for years in various institutions.
“Let them come and see my house, I’m moldy and sick. Drane Gjoka, I bought a military unit in 1990 and I won this unit through a lawsuit. I gave the money to the state bank with a collection mandate, I also won it through a lawsuit and then, when they surrounded my unit, they took away my entrance, one payment for the land, one for the building.
Now this building was built by the mayor Luigj Isufi in 2005 and Gjovalin Isufi, both brothers, worked in the municipality and his wife worked in the municipality. The Kurbin district has always been a family municipality and all his relatives. Today I have all the documents. They have hidden the files, the court decisions from me.
Our problem is the destruction and appropriation of property by the Municipality of Laç. Property, a flat that has been damaged by white water. They have installed three wells above me. The property, now I have been living there since ’90, I filed a lawsuit and I won and I received the certificate and I have the court decision.
Now this building has come to me, Gjovalin Isufi, knowing my concern, has brought me to implement the court’s decision. SPAK, I request that the entry I gave for the land be returned to me. I have filed reports with the Prosecutor’s Office, the Police, they are at the Court of Appeal. Decisions have been made against me and my property. Today I have come to file a report with SPAK”, she said in April 2026, while it is worth noting that there is no reaction from the State Police to the recently published video.
