The mother of one of the 15-year-olds involved in the rape of the 17-year-old in Fier has spoken to the media again, this time in front of the Fier Court premises, where security measures were imposed for the three suspected girls.
She said that her daughter is hospitalized in a psychiatric hospital, where she is receiving medical treatment, while repeating the statements she had made earlier to Top Channel, asking for understanding for the minor’s condition and expressing regret for the incident.
The mother of one of the 15-year-olds claims that their concern has been there since the girl was a student at a 9-year state school a few months ago.
She claims that they need help from the school and psychology, but they were expelled and the parents turned to the Fier education office, and then saw the solution as sending her to a private school where the girl did not go a single day, as she felt bullied.
Her mother also claims to feel anxious, as she is unaware of either the diagnosis or the treatment.
“I don’t know anything about the girl’s health. I’m very worried. I’ve met her twice in the hospital, she doesn’t seem so well. I don’t know if she’s aware of the images that have gone viral. The girl had the phone we bought her, the clothes she had. When she came back in the early hours of the morning, she would tell me that she had been with friends, she wouldn’t tell me.
I didn’t know my friends, nor their parents. I saw them for the first time at the police station, while I don’t know the girl who was beaten, her parent at all. I haven’t hired a lawyer for my daughter. We’ve been going to the police station for a year now, we’ve been going to the police station several times. 20-year-old Lionela Lamaj and two 15-year-old girls will appear before the court to verify the conditions and criteria for following security measures.
Lionela Lamaj was arrested at the request of the Prosecution, under suspicion of the criminal offense of “Unlawful Deprivation of Liberty”, committed in collaboration, while the two minors are also under investigation within the framework of the same criminal proceedings.
