A British tourist has died in Ibiza after he never resurfaced after going down a waterslide at the hotel where he was staying.
His family, including his wife and daughter, who were with him on family vacation, are believed to have been watching him at the time, reports Klankosova.tv.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene after he was spotted in distress in the pool of the hotel, whose name has not been made public, in the popular Cala Tarida resort, on the west coast of Ibiza.
Hotel staff administered CPR and used a defibrillator after confirming he had suffered a cardiac arrest. However, efforts to save his life were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have launched an investigation into the fatal incident, which occurred around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
