A 28-year-old man of Albanian origin, who was found seriously injured on a street in Leicester, Great Britain, and despite intervention, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been identified by police as Ervin Lita, also known as Ervin Axhami, while Leicestershire Police announced that two men, aged 36 and 27, initially arrested on suspicion of murder, have been released on bail while investigations continue.

The incident was reported at 6.58am on Sunday, with East Midlands Ambulance Service finding the 28-year-old injured on Compton Road.

Officers have set up an information-gathering portal where witnesses or people with security camera or dashcam footage can submit information that could help the investigation.

Detective Kevin Hames said the investigation is still ongoing and that a special team is working to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

“Our investigation remains ongoing. We have a dedicated team that is progressing a number of investigations as we continue to determine the full circumstances of what happened,” he stated.

According to police, the investigation includes analyzing security cameras, forensic examinations and interviewing witnesses. Authorities have urged anyone with information about the incident to contact police as soon as possible.
