They have won up to 200 million euros in tenders, while SPAK has so far seized 12 million euros in property and assets. She explained that he was a controversial character, as he not only lived a luxurious life, but also bought a luxury yacht for 1 million euros for his business associate, a case that is also being investigated by SPAK. Lala explained that Agasi and Beqiri were closely connected, but it remains to be verified whether Beqiri was spying in France and his connections in that country.

Lala said that Beqiri was also present during French President Emanuel Macron’s visit to Tirana last year.

“Beqiri and Ergys Agasi showed off their luxurious life. Beqiri was a controversial character. Beqiri is suspected and will be investigated for taking other people hostage, businessmen, while there are cases of denunciation of the kidnapping of Daniel Shimë or the threat of a German citizen for business. The arrest of Ermal Beqiri in France and the SPAK file

Businessman Ermal Beqiri, wanted by SPAK for the AKSHI affair, was arrested in France after an air incident near a nuclear power plant in Penly, in Seine-Maritime.

According to French media, he was flying a small plane over the protected area, prompting French authorities to escort him with an Air Force vehicle to Albert airport.

After landing, the pilot was detained by police. French media report that Ermal Beqiri was previously known to French and Albanian justice for matters related to financial fraud, organized fraud and illegal cyber activities.

During the search, police found three AirTag tracking devices hidden in his clothing. Beqiri claimed that he had made a mistake with the flight altitude and that he was talking on the phone with his mother at the time of the flight over the power plant.

He was fined 7,000 euros for violating the restricted area and handed over to the authorities for further procedures, including extradition to Albania.

The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO) had previously imposed the security measure of “prison arrest” in absentia on Beqiri, at the request of the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK). Beqiri owns the company “Soft & Solution” and is accused of winning tenders worth over 1.1 million euros after threats made by Ergys Agas’s right-winger to a company involved in one of the many competitions.
