Former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku will be charged with violations in tenders for 6 other tenders.
It is learned that the Special Prosecution Office has summoned Balluku today at 10:00 AM along with the defense attorney to officially communicate the defendant’s status.
She is officially charged for the other 6 lots of the Tirana Ring Road, while she was previously officially charged for lot 4 and the Llogara Tunnel tender.
Also today, she will be informed of the 3-month extension of the investigation, a communication that comes after her two former subordinates, Gentian Gjyli and Erald Elezi.
Meanwhile, the investigation into corruption and money laundering continues, an accusation related to two tenders worth over 1 million euros at the time Balluku was the General Director of “Albcontrol”. SPAK says that the tenders were illegally awarded to a construction company, and Balluku received a bribe of a villa in Dhërmi worth 145 thousand euros, which was seized by yesterday’s decision of the GJKKO.
