Renowned meteorologist, Lajda Porja, was invited to the studio of the “Wake Up” show this morning, where she made the weather forecast for the month of August.

According to her, the first week of August is expected to mark the highest temperatures of the entire summer. She added that after August 13, there will be a normalization of temperatures as well as rain, drizzle and hail.

Porja continued by saying that this will last a few days and then the heat wave will return again.

 “Usually the most extreme values ​​are recorded in the Elbasan and Berat regions and Gjirokastra, while during this summer, since June it has recorded 42 degrees so far, Shkodra, the Koplik area, Elbasan and Berat. And then in the second line comes Tirana, Fier, Gjirokastra which move only by one degree, in many cases even by only half a degree. We are talking about the maximum values ​​at the territorial level. It is expected that Shkodra and Elbasan.

However, during these days and before and the days that await us are Shkodër, Berat and Elbasan. The difference between them is very small, which could be 02.2-0.3. Which means, if in Koplik it will mark 42, it could be at 41.8 or 41.9 Berat or Elbasan will come close.

Today we expect it to be the hottest day of the whole week and of the month of July. We expect a maximum of 42 degrees, it may exceed. The exceedance may be by 0.3 or a maximum of half a degree. It feels a little chilly because fortunately during this wave that we are being hit, the mornings have not yet reached that peak, the high temperatures and remain relatively cool. In the mountainous areas, the temperatures are 14-15 degrees, it is a little cooler. But as it approaches 10, from 10 am to 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm, a scorching heat is felt. The maximum values ​​are very high. Yesterday it was also approximately 41 degrees, but today the difference is that the map expands with values ​​of 40-41-42 degrees. So the African wave penetrates deeper, it will remain present at least until August 13 or let’s say the first part of August, very scorching.
