During a television debate, Albanian historian Elena Kocaqi, who became known after her strong statement that Alexis Tsipras is a Cham, responded to Panagiotis Barka, who represented the Greek minority in Albania in the debate.
“I have said that Greece does not have a Greek population in the sense that Greece says, because the population of Greece, at the moment Greece became a state, all the hundred who fought were all arvanites in frocks, all those Albanians put the crown on the king and there was not a single Greek there because they were Orthodox Albanians,” said Elena Kocaqi in the studio.
During the debate, Barka intervened, telling her that she was exaggerating a bit, but the historian’s response was immediate, challenging her to find a single Greek name who was at the head of the anti-Ottoman uprising in 1800.
