The police have conducted surprise checks in several areas of Tirana and in Fushë-Krujë, Bubq and Nikël, where as a result of the operation, two people were arrested in flagrante delicto and narcotics suspected of cocaine, a cold weapon and a luxury vehicle were seized.
The checks were carried out by the Special Operational Force and the “Eagle” Special Force, in cooperation with the Traffic Police services, as part of measures to increase security and crack down on illegal activities.
According to the police, the checks focused on identifying persons in possession of illegal weapons, narcotics, wanted persons, as well as verifying luxury vehicles, vehicles with tinted windows above the permitted norms, and vehicles with modifications that cause disturbing noises.
During the action, the following were checked and verified:
87 vehicles;
118 citizens;
34 tinted windows were found and removed in violation of the Highway Code, while the drivers were punished with administrative measures.
Also, 12 vehicles and 16 people were escorted for further verifications.

Another person was arrested after a cold weapon, specifically a metal rod, was found and seized during the search.
Meanwhile, another citizen was also escorted after violating the “House Arrest” security measure. The luxury vehicle he was using was seized by the authorities.
