After Minister Besfort Lamallari announced that he had declared several people “Non Grata” in connection with the protests that have been held in our country over the past two months, their names have also been learned. Top Channel reports that these are two citizens from North Macedonia, who have been declared persona non grata in Albania and have been banned from entering Albanian territory.

Following the proposal of the Anti-Terror Unit in the State Police, the Ministry of Interior, headed by Lamallari, has declared “Non Grata” Valon Belja, or Valjon Bela, a citizen of North Macedonia, as well as Bekir Halimi, also a citizen of North Macedonia.

The Ministry of Interior has information that two Albanians from the Republic of Macedonia are suspected of having carried out activities to the detriment of the Albanian state.

Minister Lamallari said during a media interview that it is not only activist Iqbale Huduti who has been declared “Non Grata”, but also several other people who have been declared undesirable in our country. The Minister did not prefer to make their names public, but said that he has declared them “Non Grata”, based on the powers granted to him by Albanian law.

“It is a fact, and this is proven, that a case that you mentioned earlier, where I, in application of the right given to me by law to declare an undesirable person in our country for 15 years, was also the case of Mrs. Iqbale Huduti, who, in fact, according to information administered by the intelligence and law enforcement agencies, was proven to have connections and activities that constitute a concern and threat to Albania. This is not the only case, although it was not made public. Even then, in the following weeks, there were other cases, which I declared undesirable persons in application of the attributes given to me by law”, declared the minister.
