In a post on her social network, with three relatively long paragraphs, Elisa Spiropali floated the idea of ”New Albania” in mid-July, an “essay on the norms of autocracy”, but brought to the conditions of Albania, where democracy is a theory and autocracy is a pronounced practice, the words of the former speaker of parliament and former chief diplomat took on value.
“The document remains a proposal for discussion, open to any idea, remark and contribution” – writes Spiropali, while presenting three points. They are summarized in a sentence that she “wrote herself”. “… No more personalization of power, but institutions stronger than individuals. Not privilege, but merit. Not closure, but competition. Not complacency, but self-correction. More humility, less arrogance” – she published the material on July 16.
What did Rama say in his “Besa” document on July 24? Not more or less, but say identical, but in other words Rama simply “copied” Elisa, but it took him 8 days to catch a different name… It was a step forward, but after Rama’s Besa she has spared him, she could even sue him for “plagiarism” or theft of “computer writing”, but she has not done so yet. Will she do it? It is not known, by September many things may have changed, September they say is the month of “big events”.
Perhaps Elisa has gone into deep thought after her former idol not only read it with “pleasure”, but also took every idea thrown at her platform seriously.
Stretched over 39 pages, the “Besa platform” is a spin-off of Elissa’s three points, which Rama has tried to camouflage. In his seven points, he writes: “Listening – institutions understand society before discontent becomes a crisis; Proof – every strategic decision is based on verifiable evidence; Explanation – transparency does not end with publication, it reaches understanding; Care – maintenance and quality of service weigh as much as new investment; Measurement – administration measures not only activity, but also the change in the citizen’s life; Learning – error turns into knowledge and is not repeated as an institutional habit. Forecasting – risk is recognized when it is still a signal and not after it has become a crisis,” Rama’s Besa is written.
All of this is nothing more than the “essence” of Spirapali’s platform, or her new Albania. Has Rama fallen so low that he is no longer producing even ordinary theoretical ideas, or is Spirapali so clever that she bought the mind of her former idol and burned the idea in his hands? Great confusion in the Socialist Party.
