A 39-year-old man was injured after an incident with a floating vehicle in the Velipoja area. The incident occurred around 19:00, near the Velipoja Border Police Station.
According to preliminary police information, the citizen with the initials EN, 39 years old, is suspected of being disembarking from the body of a floating vehicle he owned, when the vehicle’s gas pipe accidentally exploded.
As a result of the explosion, the 39-year-old suffered burns to his body.
He received first aid at the Shkodra Regional Hospital, and then headed to Tirana to receive more specialized medical treatment.
Meanwhile, the investigation team is at the scene and is carrying out procedural actions to determine the full circumstances and causes of the incident.
