Just six days after the Americans handed him over to Albania, murderer Sokol Hoxha is reportedly persistently demanding his freedom, arguing that he has lived in captivity for more than 25 years.
Without spending a week behind bars, it is learned that Hoxha has addressed the Fier Court with a request to gain freedom, while it is reported that his request will be reviewed in the court session that will take place on September 16, according to journalist Anila Hoxha.
It is currently known that the criminal accused of murdering 3 people is in custody at “313” on “Jordan Misja” street. It is also known that the General Prosecutor’s Office has suggested to the Belgian authorities that the murderer Sokol Hoxha serve his sentence for the murder of his partner Brunilda Dervishi in Albania.
As we have previously reported, Hoxha’s extradition was carried out within the framework of the international operation codenamed “Globe”, as a result of close cooperation between the Diplomatic Security Service of the American Embassy in Tirana, the Criminal Police Department, Interpol Tirana, Interpol Washington, Interpol Manchester, Interpol Brussels, as well as American law enforcement agencies.
According to the State Police, Sokol Hoxha, 51 years old, born in Fier, has been sentenced in Albania to 25 years in prison for the murder of the two Banaj brothers, an event that occurred on March 30, 1997 in Patos.
Meanwhile, in 2010, the Brussels Court sentenced him to life imprisonment for another serious crime. He was found guilty of the shooting death of an Albanian citizen in Brussels in August 1997, who, according to the authorities, had previously been exploited by him for prostitution.
