Vučić and Rama, neither the Ibar River nor the Ionian Sea can wash away their sins!

From Boldnews.al

With a wet towel, or fresh from a dive, Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted in the shallows of his thoughts to a summer debate between himself and his friend Aleksandar Vučić. Both are pointing to “patriotism” as the last refuge in the face of protests in two countries where protesters for both have a motto: “Authoritarian and corrupt.”

The one who teased, almost to the point of being unbelievable, was Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who said: “I must inform you, we have already invited experts who deal with this, namely the construction sector, engineers, everyone else… They are mistreating our people so much. Let’s see, what will the Albanians do and how will they behave after this action?” , he said, referring to the fact that experts are working to see the possibility of diverting the Ibar River, precisely to prevent its flow from passing through Kosovo, and after merging with the Vardar, ending up in the sea…

But not in the Ionian Sea, which so touched the “great patriot” Edi Rama… “Albania has no claim on Serbian territory and does not need to invent any. Nor do we need a “Greater Albania” to stand by Kosovo. Serbia lost Kosovo. Reiterating that it did not lose it may perhaps turn defeat into victory in the geography of political imagination, but unfortunately maps are less ready for compromise ,” Rama snapped from his vacation at the government villa in Dhërmi, responding to his friend Vučić in a long, but worthless message.

To quell the heated debate, the “chosen” words of chief diplomat Ferit Hoxha were enough, who rarely addressed the topic in a cool and kind manner, recalling international law on the management of transboundary waters.

But why this “clash of titans” at a distance between Rama and Vučić? Both are such “politicians” that in order to avoid internal revolt from their citizens, they are trying to show themselves to be good patriots for their fellow citizens wherever they are.

To understand the sensitivity of Rama’s positions, it is enough to go back a little in time, no further than the year 3023. Not once did Rama consider the attack in Bajnska, Kosovo, when Serbian paramilitaries, equipped with weapons from Serbian army depots, killed police officer Afrim Bunjaku and wounded two others, a “terrorist act.” The international factor also reacted more harshly than Rama, but it took “a leap into the sea” to bring “Rama the patriot” back.

Did you see how harsh his stance was towards Vučić’s statements, but what about Vučić towards Rama? Neither the Ibar River nor the Ionian Sea can wash away the sins of the two authoritarians who resorted to the “last resort”, feigned patriotism, when thousands of citizens in Belgrade and Tirana are demanding their resignation…!
