Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez have a prenuptial agreement that clearly defines how property will be divided in the event of a divorce.
According to the document released after the couple’s wedding, Ronaldo and Georgina have chosen a property division regime. This means that each will keep the properties and assets that are in his or her own name.
In the event of a divorce, individually purchased or acquired property will not be divided in half. Only properties registered in both spouses’ names will be considered joint and will be divided according to the agreement.
The agreement, signed at a notary in Lisbon on August 10, aims to protect both Ronaldo’s existing assets and the income he may generate during the marriage.
Another reported claim is that a luxury villa owned by Ronaldo in Madrid’s La Finca, worth around €6 million, has been transferred into Georgina’s name.
Ronaldo and Georgina have been together for about a decade and have children together. Their wedding took place privately at the couple’s villa in Cascais, Portugal.
