Albanian citizens will be able to travel to Morocco without needing a visa for short-term stays.
The competent authorities of the Kingdom of Morocco have decided to abolish the visa regime for Albanian citizens, significantly facilitating travel procedures to this country.
The decision will enter into force on August 15, 2026, which means that from this date Albanian citizens planning short-term trips to Morocco will no longer need to apply for a visa in advance.
The news was announced by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, which has updated official information on the visa regime and travel conditions for Albanian citizens.
The abolition of visas is expected to positively impact the increase in movement between Albania and Morocco, especially for tourist purposes, short-term visits and other trips.
Morocco is one of the most popular tourist destinations in North Africa, and easing the travel regime could make the country more accessible to Albanian tourists.
The decision is also expected to contribute to strengthening contacts and exchanges between the two countries, creating more opportunities for the movement of citizens and the development of bilateral relations.
Citizens planning to travel to Morocco are advised to verify the specific entry conditions, required documentation, and maximum duration of visa-free stay before departure.
