The well-known imam Elvedin Pezic was detained this afternoon by the Kosovo Police in the village of Vitomiricë, Peja, after, according to reports by Klan Kosova journalist Altiana Zogaj, he was banned from entering the territory of Kosovo.
Pezic was discovered by authorities while on his way to give a lecture and religious activity at the Vitomirica Youth Center, which was scheduled to take place from 5:15 PM to 7:00 PM.
Due to the detention, the imam was escorted to the police station to be interviewed, while the official reasons for this decision have not yet been announced and the police have not yet given an official response regarding the case.
