A 46-year-old woman was found dead in the early hours of August 16, in front of a hospital in Trebisacce, in the province of Cosenza, Italy. The victim has been identified as Ornella Forastefano.
According to preliminary information, the woman had been severely raped and had sustained serious injuries, from which she could not survive even though she received immediate medical attention.
In connection with the incident, Italian authorities are searching for her partner, a 42-year-old Albanian, whose whereabouts are unknown.
The Carabinieri are investigating to clarify the circumstances of the incident, while the possibility of femicide is not being ruled out.
