Anila Jole, Information Director News24
Today, several portals published an article claiming that News24 is experiencing a deep financial and human crisis and that a number of executives, journalists, and moderators are leaving the television station.
This article is full of untruths.
Thus, the inclusion of my name Anila Jole, Ola Bruko and Klodiana Lala, people who have been an inseparable part of the history of News24 for years, creates a reality that does not exist.
I want to say it clearly, publicly and without any equivocation: I have not left News24, nor have I resigned!
I have been at News24 since the birth of this television station. News24 has not been a workplace for me where I came to spend a few years. It has been my professional home.
I’ve worked here through the best of times and the worst of times. I’ve led, I’ve built, I’ve invested time, energy, passion, and a big part of my life.
And throughout all these years, even when it’s been hard, it’s never crossed my mind to leave.
This has happened to many other people, because it is the journalists, editors, operators, technicians, managers, moderators and everyone who has worked here over the years, who have held the News24 logo high.
Behind the strength of this television has been the entrepreneur Mr. Irfan Hysenbelliu for years, who has invested and kept this media afloat even in extremely difficult times. There may be debates and different opinions about a television, but one thing cannot be denied: News24 has continued to exist and be an important voice on the screen, thanks to the support and investment of its owner.
Therefore, it is untrue and unfair to construct a story as if News24 is collapsing and people are leaving it en masse.
As for the shows that have not been broadcast for about two and a half months, this is obvious to every News24 viewer and does not need to be revealed by “sources”.
The reason is equally clear: it is an editorial and management decision to give space and voice to the protest and its developments.
This is not a crisis test. It is an editorial choice.
News24 has gone through many battles over the years. It has faced pressure, attacks, threats and attempts to weaken it. Even today, in a difficult period, attacks continue against it from different directions.
And it is no coincidence that, in this continuous wave of attacks on News24, some of the oldest people at this television are being targeted.
It is another way to attack News24, to create the impression that the people who built it are leaving and that the television is losing its strength.
But this is not the truth and it does not work.
Because News24 is not sustained by a single name.
It is sustained by its people, by its history, and by the daily work of those who continue to be here.
News24 is gearing up for the new season with new arrivals and new energy.
A new season means new programs, comebacks, new content and, of course, new blood in the newsroom and on screen.
People don’t leave simply because someone decides to leave them in an article.
Before you announce my departure and that of my colleagues, verify it once.
And before you write the history of News24, don’t forget those who have been writing that history for decades.
I’m here!
Klodiana is here!
Ola is here!
News24 is here!
And News24 is preparing for the new season.
The rest is just noise.
And noise doesn’t change the truth.
