A prisoner at the “Jordan Misja” Penitentiary (313) and his family member were arrested in flagrante delicto, after suspected doses of narcotics were discovered during a check of the food brought for the prisoner.
The operation was conducted on August 25, 2026 by the Supervisory Agency for the Execution of Criminal Decisions System, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Prisons.
According to operational data, during a thorough inspection of the food brought to prisoner OA, 17 suspected doses of cannabis and 12 suspected doses of cocaine were found.
After the discovery of narcotics, the searches were also extended to the apartment of SZ’s family member. Other suspected quantities of cannabis and cocaine, as well as a cartridge, were found and seized there.
OA, a prisoner at the “Jordan Misja” Penitentiary Institution, and his family member SZ were arrested in flagrante delicto for the incident.
Both are suspected of the criminal offenses of “Introducing or Possessing Prohibited Items into the Institution for the Execution of Sentences with Imprisonment”, “Manufacturing and Selling Narcotics” and “Unlicensed Possession and Production of Explosive Weapons and Ammunition”.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further investigations and actions.
