The leader of the LZHK, Dashamir Shehi, described the resignation of Health Minister Evis Sala as the rumor of the week, saying that according to him, she does not play any political role in the conditions when Rama makes the decisions himself.
On A2 CNN, he said that during these 12-13 years, 80 people have become ministers. Appreciating the gesture and capacity of Minister Sala, Shehi emphasizes that the reasons for the resignation may have been due to not tarnishing her name or not signing any papers.
“From a political point of view, it doesn’t play a role. In this, that lady has an intellectual and moral sensor. She has seen that there is no work. Here everyone is happy to become a minister, but when she sees that they won’t let her work and says no matter how dirty my name is, I’m leaving. There may be other dirt, sign this or that letter. And someone who will have a white face, says thank you and this is a good gesture that she has done. What she has done publicly makes a difference. She is someone in the medical environment and she doesn’t bother Rama because he also appoints an agronomist. This is autocracy,” Shehi said on A2 CNN.
Calling Rama an autocrat who signs and seals himself, Shehi emphasizes that he has no problem removing 5 more tomorrow or appointing an agronomist instead of the Minister of Health.
“Tomorrow he will remove 5 others and has devalued the government. He is alone in his decision-making and just as he will take all the glory, he must also take the shame of failure. Ministers come from nowhere. This was someone from a professional perspective. There is no room for a minister to make decisions on his own, he signs and seals everything.”
For Shehi, government officials must be political in order to deal with colleagues based on meritocracy.
“When you become a minister, you must have two qualities; either a strong political person, an MP and this is the culmination of a kind of career and I am for this type of category or you are a super technician who puts them down with the knowledge and capacity you have to lead, which may have been the case of the lady. These are the parameters of meritocracy and these do not apply in Albania. He removes him and puts the most incapable because he knows very well that he will not create any problems. According to him, healthcare will take decades to invest in order to see the result.”
