He was traveling with his wife and 4 children. He had hidden the gun in his bag, but it was the scanner that detected it.
He stated that during his vacation he stayed in the Tropoja area where he went shooting with some friends.
According to him, he forgot the pistol with the cartridge in the chamber and the magazine with 6 bullets in his bag and did not know that he was crossing the border with firearms.
The firearm has been seized and the 42-year-old is facing charges of ‘Trafficking in weapons and ammunition’.
Meanwhile, investigations are ongoing by the competent authorities with the aim of fully documenting the circumstances of the case.
