During an interview with journalist Rudina Xhunga on his podcast “Flasim,” Prime Minister Edi Rama commented on current political events in Albania.
Asked about former President Ilir Meta, the socialist leader described him as a political talent, but said he was unable to handle the weight of power.
He further stated that power is a force that has “eaten” many men and, in Meta’s case, has turned him into a ridiculous character.” Part of the Interview:

Edi Rama: He was a talent, a great political talent that could not hold its weight. Power is a monstrous beast. It has eaten, it has brought many men under it. That is, it has degenerated into a ridiculous character.
