A serious incident was recorded on Wednesday evening in Shtime, where a 51-year-old man was found lying in front of a market, and was later found lifeless at the Emergency Center.
According to information reported by Sinjali, this is Nexhmedin Gavazi, born in 1974 and a resident of the QIRSKP in Shtime.
The incident was recorded at around 10:30 PM on Tahir Sinani Street, opposite the CIRSKP. Gavazi was found lying in front of the Elira Market, prompting an immediate call for emergency services.
The Emergency Team arrived at the scene and the 51-year-old was transported by ambulance to the Emergency Center in Shtime. Despite the intervention, the attending physician determined that he had been brought without signs of life.

During the intervention, another detail was identified that raised the first suspicions regarding what may have happened to the 51-year-old shortly before he was found lying down.
According to information from the case, the doctor has raised the suspicion that Gavazi may have choked while consuming food. It is reported that a piece of food, suspected to be burek, was removed from his mouth, or rather from his throat.
However, this is only an initial suspicion identified during the medical intervention and the exact cause of death has not yet been determined. A conclusion is expected only after the relevant forensic examinations.
Regional investigators and the Forensics Unit arrived at the location where the 51-year-old was found, as well as at the Emergency Room, and took the necessary actions to document and clarify the circumstances of the case.
The acting prosecutor for serious crimes, Veton Shabani, was also consulted about the incident. According to reported information, he authorized the undertaking of investigative actions and ordered that the body be sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy.

The case has been initiated as an “Investigation into Death”, while regional investigators in Ferizaj are continuing their work to determine the full circumstances.
The autopsy is expected to be crucial in determining the cause, including whether the initial suspicion of choking while consuming food holds true or whether the 51-year-old had suffered from another medical condition.
