Yesterday, Çim Peka, through a status on the social network Facebook, called Belind Këlliç an ‘idiot’, accusing him of trying to downplay the issue of arms trafficking alleged by former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj, who during the interview with Çim Peka accused Israeli Ron Yeffet of being implicated.
Peka’s ‘outburst’ came after a reaction to Ahmetaj’s denunciation of arms trafficking, where among other things, attempting to take credit and perhaps gain political capital from this issue, Këlliçi said that he had requested an interpellation regarding the activities of the KAYO company.
“Personally, I have requested transparency regarding these suspicions and the activities of KAYO, the state-owned company created by Rama but controlled by Ron Yeffet. I have sent a request for information to the Minister of Defense for 5 months, without ever receiving a response. This silence confirms the accusation made last night and the evidence that was made public about international arms trafficking,” Këlliçi wrote.
“There is only one way for the DP to attempt to undo Ron Yeffet-Rama’s arms trafficking interpellation:
Appoint an idiot to request an interpellation!
“I don’t believe it,” Peka replied.
