A 29-year-old Albanian man has been arrested by Italian police after they found him with over 414 kilograms of cannabis, worth over 4 million euros. According to Italian media, the drugs seized in Guidonia were ready to be sold to drug trafficking centers in Rome and the surrounding province.
The 29-year-old Albanian was stopped while trying to load several large suitcases into the trunk of his car. The first 98 kilograms of cannabis were found inside the suitcases. The investigation then followed a set of keys found on the young man, which turned out to open several premises used as warehouses in the Guidonia and Rome areas.
In one of the facilities, a significant portion of narcotics was stored inside refrigerators, which were used as drug storage facilities.
During searches of the young man’s various premises, including a garage, materials used for packaging doses and several handwritten sheets containing the calculation and counting of drugs were found.
