Checks in the sector where Ergys Agasi/Lala is held: There was a clash between SPAK and the Prison Police

New details have been made public from the surprise search at Bradashesh detention center, in the sector where Ergys Agasi is being held.

Journalist Klodiana Lala said that during the operation there was also a clash between SPAK and the Prison Police regarding the premises where the checks should be focused.

According to Lala, the Prison Police requested that the checks be carried out in Agas’s cell and other cells, while SPAK insisted that the checks be extended to the kitchen and common areas. It is suspected that the investigators had information that directed them towards these areas.

“If you look, this check was a flash check, a very interesting check. Even though it was not publicly acknowledged, there was a kind of friction between SPAK and the Prison Police. The Prison Police insisted on going to check Agas’s cell and other cells, because there are a number of other problematic people there. In fact, SPAK insisted on going to the prison kitchen, to the common areas, because apparently there were interesting details,” Lala said, among other things.

Agasi was arrested on August 26 in Durrës, after several months of being wanted, as part of SPAK’s investigations related to the AKSHI file. Several charges have been brought against him, including violations of equality in tenders, illegal competition through violence, illegal deprivation of liberty and laundering of the proceeds of crime.
