A large-scale police operation has been conducted in Shkodra, where 50-year-old Bledar Cafi was arrested, suspected of involvement in drug trafficking as part of a structured criminal group.
The operation codenamed “High Wall” was carried out by the State Police under the direction of SPAK, with the participation of the RENEA Special Forces, the Special Operational Force, the Narcotics Investigation structures, the Shkodra Police and the BKH.
The Special Court ordered Caf to be placed under “prison arrest” on September 25. Meanwhile, the operation continues to locate and arrest another wanted person.
The 50-year-old’s name emerged during SPAK’s investigations into the suspected activity of the Rraja group. According to the investigations, Cafi is suspected of being part of this group and involved in drug trafficking.
Bledar Cafi has a previous criminal record. In 2021, he was arrested in Italy, where he was convicted of drug trafficking.
Cafi is a well-known name to the authorities due to previous proceedings against him. Years ago, Operation Force of Law had sent him and his brothers the form for declaring and justifying the source of assets, as the Cafi family owns several businesses in Shkodra.
