A serious incident has shocked the boxing world. In Mexico, 25-year-old Arturo “Lobito” Torres has died after losing in the ring to rival Gilberto “Torito” Garcia.
The match was held on September 19. Garcia’s consecutive blows caused Torres to surrender and lie in the corner of the ring, the 7th round of the fight. This was just the beginning.
Torres received medical attention and was then transported to the hospital. His condition deteriorated rapidly, to the point of coma.
Due to the blows he received to the head, the 25-year-old suffered a blood clot in his brain. On September 25, Arturo “Lobito” Torres passed away, unable to resist his “ruthless” fate.
