Mitro Çela: Rama has a $1.5 million watch and a $600,000 car, he says his wife built the house…

By Mitro Çela

After conducting an “autopsy” of modern politics, philosopher Max Weber divided politicians into two groups. The first group includes individuals who live for politics. They enter politics for ideals. The second group, philosophy includes politicians who live from politics.

This “race” practices the profession of politics as if they were doctors, butchers, midwives, fishermen, gamblers, swindlers, carpenters, taxi drivers. The philosopher insists that this division includes politicians of all countries; at all times.

Inspired by Weber’s ideas, I began to investigate Albanian politics. The first group either does not exist at all, or is sparse. The second group is “sitting cross-legged” in every cell of the state.

Pardon!

If you were to list the wealth declarations, with a “handful” of money in the bank, Prime Minister Rama would be in the first group. Likewise Taulant Balla, Belinda Balluk, etc.

But if you look at the “jacket”: suits, collars, rings, socks, cell phones, watches – it makes you turn around. Rama says that he rents the car he uses to travel around Albania from the Socialist Party.

I add that he also receives the rent to travel around the world from the Socialist Party, so as not to burden the budget, even if it is far away, he receives it from the Party.

The watch on his wrist, worth 1.5 million dong, is a gift from friends around the world. The house in Surrel is a gift from his wife?!

The “Garden of Eden” in the Prime Minister’s living room was made with the Holy Spirit. The goldfish “fished” from Japan?!

Tickets for American basketball, European football, without money?!

Let’s remember the Pope’s visit. Luxury cars had invaded the airport. One more expensive than the other. All bought with the taxes paid by the people. The Pope, to his surprise, got into a car that cost 20 times cheaper than the prime minister’s car, in the poorest country in Europe?!

Benz. Armored. Priced at over 600 thousand euros! To be precise. We don’t blame Rama too much. He inherited the car from Berisha.

They watched the deputies enter the Parliament. Lively sex! French clothes – “Versace”, “Armani”, “Max Mara”, “Gucci”.

“Elisabeth Franki.”

Earrings, pendants, watches, perfumes – thousands of euros.

Money flowed to remove the ruts, to hairdressers.

When a part of the population is homeless, the poorest minister or MP has a 300 square meter residential apartment in Tirana; a villa in Durrës, Vlora, Saranda or Velipojë!

For the good of the people, the state also “keeps the Directorate of Government Services afloat.” Several villas in Durrës, Pogradec, and Vlora are under its jurisdiction.

The Services Directorate is losing money. It is subsidized by millet taxes, because the prime minister, ministers, MPs and especially their wives, go to state villas less and less often. They prefer private hotels, especially those outside the borders of Albania!

Long live the businessmen who sponsor, especially those employed by the state and in women’s businesses!

Power has many faces. Above all, it offers welfare at low cost. The man with power loses the notion of seasons: long live the air conditioner in the house, in the car, in the office!

Look at the Albanian Parliament building. You can’t see the windows because the air conditioners have “sucked up” the air. Politicians don’t know how the schools in the northeast have deteriorated: their children receive culture in Athens, London, Paris, America.

Officials with status do not pay taxes when they cross borders; they do not pay customs duties when they import cars…
