Student revolt/ President Begaj meets two groups of protesters, the young people ask him to dissolve the Parliament and form a transitional government

Two groups of protesters have met in recent hours with the President of the Republic, who seems for the first time to be taking a decisive role in the extraordinary situation that has engulfed the country this week.

It is reported that Bajram Begaj met with two different groups of protesters at two different times.

In both cases, it is learned that they have come up with concrete demands for the President, under conditions where he has the authority to act.

Protesters have demanded that Begaj decree a caretaker government with a one-year mandate, dissolve Parliament, and call early elections.

The meetings also included a request for 135 days of protest that no individual who has served two terms in government should run for prime minister again, even if one or both terms have not been completed.
