The Supreme Court has set September 15 as the date for reviewing Erion Veliaj’s measure after his return from the Constitutional Court. The hearing is scheduled for 09:30.
The criminal trio that will try the mayor of Tirana in the High Court is Sander Simoni as rapporteur and Valbon Çekrezi and Genti Shala as members.
Sokol Binaj and Albana Boksi resigned from the recourse, after reviewing Veliaj’s previous requests. Earlier, rapporteur Ilir Panda also resigned.
The Constitutional Court returned the review of Veliaj’s request for a measure to the High Court with the argument that it must be justified why a measure other than imprisonment is not appropriate.
