Journalist Robert Papa has given a highly critical assessment of the political situation in Albania, describing the country as an autocratic reality, where – according to him – a change of power through voting is practically impossible.<\/span><\/p>\n

In his analysis, the Pope states that Edi Rama has consolidated complete control over the institutions and the parliamentary majority, which makes the electoral process incapable of producing real political rotation.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The mechanisms to remove Rama by vote are impossible. He has bought everything. He has 83 MPs and total control. Only if international partners demanded it, this situation could change,” says Papa.<\/span><\/p>\n

Allegations of financial transfers and international factors<\/span>
\nIn his statements, Robert Papa also mentions what he describes as suspected financial transfers, linked to the Prime Minister’s wife, Linda Rama, citing figures and international institutions, including ABI Bank and American security agencies.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Pope, these issues, if seriously investigated, could have destabilizing potential for the current government. He emphasizes that, historically, autocratic regimes do not fall without international pressure, but adds that the fate of Albania must be decided by the Albanians themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n

Trust in SPAK and the “massive files”<\/span>
\nThe Pope also expressed trust in SPAK, saying that the institution is not politically controlled and that the files against Edi Rama are numerous and voluminous.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Rama is scared, panicked, and dangerous in the final stages of power. The files are massive and American national security interests do not forgive violations,” he declares.<\/span><\/p>\n

In his analysis, the journalist also connects recent political developments with international factors, mentioning figures such as Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu, considering these relationships as Rama’s attempts to gain “political oxygen.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Call for a civic response and a \u201cnew Republic\u201d<\/span>
\nIn conclusion, Robert Papa declares that autocratic regimes are not removed by vote, but by strong social and civic pressure. He speaks of the need for a \u201cnew Republic\u201d, a deep reform of institutions and a new electoral system.<\/span><\/p>\n
